Here at Workflow, Sian Davis forms a crucial part of the Workflow Charity Committee. With the help of the rest of the team, she is currently promoting the £1,000 challenge, in order to help raise money for Kids in Action.

Kids in Action are a local business, based out of Dunstable, who provide support and social opportunities for children and young adults with special needs and disabilities. They aim to make a positive difference to each individual through encouraging their participation in social-activities in safe, non-judgemental environments.

Many young people with disabilities experience isolation and loneliness and their work helps alleviate the negative experiences and provide a lifeline for families and carers.

This year the £1000 challenge takes on special significance, as the charity look to purchase their premises and provide a stable home away from home for years to come. You can read all about Kids in Action and the £1000 challenge here: https://www.kidsinaction.org.uk/kiachallenge.html

Our journey is now well on its way as we sit halfway to our £1000 target.

On top of this, Sian often hosts charity committee meetings, where members collaborate to produce ideas and plans that may help generate additional funds. Recent campaigns have included bake sales, BBQ’s and most recently a pool tournament.

Workflow are proud to sponsor several charities in an ongoing active basis. This has previously involved staff visiting India and Africa to provide aid to underprivileged children. As a business, we are also active contributors to the following charities:

• Keech Hospice Care
• Polio Children
• SKSN School for disabled children in India
• Reach the Children in Africa
• Children in Need
• Chernobyl Children Life Line

We hold a good relationship with many of these charities and often install equipment that helps them maximise their efficiency.
